NEPCS Celebrates World Environment Day 2023 with Fruit Tree Plantation

China Northeast Electric Power Engineering & Services Co. Ltd. (NEPCS) has celebrated World Environment Day 2023 with a special event focused on tree plantation. As part of the festivities, Mr. Jung Yeeryang, the Chief Operating Officer of NEPCS, led his Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team in planting various types of fruit trees within the premises of the SMPCL power plant. The event aimed to highlight the importance of tree plantation, particularly during the scorching summer season.

In a symbolic gesture towards environmental conservation, Mr. Jung Yeeryang took the initiative to plant fruit trees alongside his dedicated O&M team. Together, they planted a diverse range of fruit trees, including mango, lychee, olive, guava, and papaya which will not only contribute to the natural beauty of the surroundings but also provide a sustainable source of fresh fruits.

During a brief speech at the event, Mr. Jung Yeeryang emphasized the positive impact that trees have on air quality, reducing carbon emissions, and maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Mr. COO encouraged everyone present to take responsibility for environmental conservation, urging them to plant trees in their respective communities and embrace a sustainable lifestyle.

After the tree plantation, the employees of NEPCS gathered to celebrate the occasion by enjoying a delightful range of seasonal fruits. The celebration provided an opportunity for the employees to connect with nature, appreciate the benefits of tree plantation, and strengthen the bond within the NEPCS community.
